When it was Winter and the house was cold, I was the one that would go power the TV up and let mum/dad know when it was working!

If you wanted to know what was going on in the World you tuned in to one of 2x TV channels, or turned on the radio, and listened at the specific time when they broadcast the news.

If you wanted news that was 24hrs old and portable, you bought a newspaper.

That fixed it. Such a weird bug.

If I remember correctly, the 'fix' is to apply the locale to another one (e.g. USofA), and then back.

Not for the first time Windows has updated and my keyboard insists I type in "American". Despite the locale/region all being set correctly.
