Also, I am not a moderate Democrat. One of the most irritating and destructive habits of the online left is acting as if progressives who urge other progressives to work in a coalition with more moderate Dems, are THEMSELVES moderate Dems. No! We are progressives who are not acting like children!
Dems should accept whatever works wherever it works. It’s okay to have a large ideological range. In some places that’s the DSA in some places that’s Blue Dogs.
I don’t think either should have to be responsible for the other’s positions… and they should feel comfortable making that clear.

It is completely unlawful for ICE to turn away members of Congress like this. The law could not be more clear; no member of Congress may be denied access to a facility where ICE is detaining someone, and they cannot be required to schedule in advance. Surprise inspections must be surprise.
