Over time, more of the advanced functionality from SLYR (including #ArcGIS Pro support, and conversion from QGIS to ArcGIS Pro) will be released to the community edition too.

You can either purchase a SLYR license to support these files, or alternatively wait for more objects to be released to the community edition and then re-try the conversion.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the MXD format, if any of these unsupported objects are present in an MXD then converting the whole document will fail.

Please note that not all MXD objects supported by the licensed SLYR edition (including annotations or graphics layers) can be converted using the community edition, but vector layers, raster layers and page layouts are fully supported.

Two weeks ago, we quietly released v6.0 of the #SLYR Community Edition - with MXD conversion features that allows you to convert #ArcMap #MXD projects to #QGIS projects.
We are stoked that it has already had over 7860 downloads! Hopefully we can beat last version's 98k downloads to 100k!!

Opening a ArcPro Template in QGIS - North River Geographic Systems Inc use the SLYR plugin to convert your ArcPro files to a QGIS friendly format.
