Back to the ward this afternoon. Taking this morning to make some pots, tidy up a bit, and make some food.

Hoping we are finally on the upswing. 🤞

I ate some some toast and the improved my mood and energy levels so much.

I think that actually I have been forgetting to eat good food and failing to get enough sleep this week.

Which, I mean, fair enough under the circumstances. But this looks like a marathon, not a sprint unfortunately.

Look, I'm no international relations expert, but I'm starting to think starting a war with Iran was a really fucking stupid thing to do.

Oh yay! I'm so glad to hear it. Will have to add it to my list once I have reading time again . . .

I have a whole set of Other Big Stuff happening in my life, so I keep just glancing at the news . . . and every time I do, it just gets worse and worse and worse.

Thanks 🙏 I think I’m just really tired. The hospital staff have been great. It’s just been a really hard stretch in the midst of a bigger hard stretch.

I need a holiday. And a massage. And like a really nice dinner out.

Kiddo still in hospital. Not sure yet for how long.

Very tired. Very annoyed our health service can’t provide decent food for patients. Very annoyed that the agencies that are supposed to support our family aren’t able to do so without an argument.

But most of all just exhausted. 😩

I’m worried we won’t be able to buy if this continues . . . export controls seem likely.

It’s cool that this generation gets to find out the answer to “what would you have done when we started interning the Japanese?” and “what would you have done when we invaded Vietnam?” and “what would you have done in Watergate?” all at the same time.
