Begging this indie dev to give me the option to disable the talking noise in their game because its so frustrating to me it makes the game unplayable (like Okami, or Banjo Kazooie)

I had to learn a lot of this the hard mode way by attending a lot of networking events in the past 5+ years. I sometimes get asked how I do it, and the first step is to just take the leap and go to an event, but knowing how to avoid cringey moments makes it easier.

With very few exceptions, I'm way more interested in buying indie games with a definite start and finish. I don't want something to play over and over again forever. I want a good five hour experience and then to move on to someone else's creation. There's millions that expect you to never stop.
