from what I understand, beside using Durandal as a very loosely-connected plot point, not really, no.
Completed testing, and found a bug, so I had to push a hotfix this morning. Anyway all good now. 14 hours straight of testing. Don't do what I do.

Cardinals are my favorite bird and I wanted them in Stardew Valley... so with the help of fellow artist @nassilove.bsky.social , there's a mod for it now! This mod replaces the usual brown birds with cardinals that I drew and Nassi helped animate :) Enjoy! Mod link below!

I was just thinking about this a minute ago. Probably a different game, but still same sentiment. It should be standard in all Options menus settings.
Begging this indie dev to give me the option to disable the talking noise in their game because its so frustrating to me it makes the game unplayable (like Okami, or Banjo Kazooie)
