Can we make a community-wide decision to stop posting, reading and spreading news about how to use the Arcantina key for whatever meta you've concocted, it has now been nerfed for the second time and bumped to a 15 min cooldown and maybe a few other changes, who knows. MY TAVERN!!!
Yeah, I think everyone has a feeling as to what is coming in probably season 3, but at the same time I don't think we WANT to accept that it is.
Blizzard is giving 2 trees per pack and 500 Hearthsteel per separate tree purchased as compensation for yesterday's "incorrect price"/"mistake" while also thanking for "valuable feedback" (not sure those terms back each other up, but hey, it's compensation). us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/spr...
I am glued to #ThePitt every week but at the same time get punched in the guy every single episode, usually at the end. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. Such a damn good show and it's been setting up the biggest gut punch for 2 seasons now and I'm not ready for it.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle compensating early buyers. I'm assuming they'll just deposit 500 Hearthsteel in the accounts for every tree/pack bought before the change?
The hoping worked, there are now 2 additional trees in the Spring Blossom Pack and the tree is down to 250 Hearthsteel (from 750). Surprised but happy they changed it, this doesn't take care of some of the earlier mentioned issues, but it does make them slightly less awful.
Already seeing some wild speculation/clickbait about the removal of the tree/spring blossom pack. Some players weren't receiving things after buying so they may be troubleshooting/fixing that and took it down while doing so. One can hope for changes, but don't get disappointed when there's none.

One of the pre-expansion events had an airship above SW Harbor and they mistakenly gave it an innkeeper for a short time until they hotfixed it out. I had to take advantage of that and haven't changed it since. :D
Finally caught myself almost dying because of my Hearthstone location on video, saved it right at the end. This basically has a 1/100 chance of happening and I either near miss or die depending on timing/which boat it is. I think this was the near miss boat, but don't want to risk it.
I applaud the effort and it appears more people on the actual NameMC Discord have been posting similar screenshots, all from different e-mails that match the username in their respective Discord screenshots and at least one of them apparently fell for it. Guess there's money in these.
One of the scam e-mails: Hey, I came across a listing indicating that the minecraft account Marlamin is being offered for sale. Could you please confirm whether you are still in control of the account, or if it has been transferred or sold to someone else? The account has been successfully verified on this Discord ( <scam link redacted> ), and it seems that the user is attempting to sell it and potentially scam other members. This is a direct violation of the Minecraft EULA and is being treated as a serious matter. If you are still the rightful owner, I would recommend joining the server and opening a ticket immediately so this can be addressed before further action is taken, or contacting an admin via private message. Be aware that violations of the EULA can result in Microsoft account suspension, permanent multiplayer bans, and further consequences. I hope to hear back from you.

Scammers have been after my Minecraft account for years now, but recently they stepped up their game by sending (the wrong e-mail) fake Discord screenshots of someone selling my account, and trying to get me to join a Discord to try and grab my credentials, likely through a verification/signup scam.
Yup, and unfortunately I worry that these kind of decisions will eventually hurt their games more than being more reasonable with monetization.
Costs in the shop are clearly defined. The ratios of Hearthsteel to real money are fixed and easily understood at a glance. You should be able to obtain an amount that makes sense for the purchases you want to make. Similarly, the costs of items are designed to align with Hearthsteel offer amounts in a player-friendly way. Buying Hearthsteel at the amount you want lets you purchase the items you want without requiring you to think about which packs should be added together to minimize leftovers.
I'm still excited about housing, but this is a bummer, just like the China-exclusive decor, but bigger. I'll keep being excited for housing, just a bit less. I don't think they will, but I hope Blizzard changes course a little here. Today misses the mark on what they said below a few months ago.
Housing becoming monetized like this has always been a worry, and things like this do make me like it a bit less, I hope that isn't the general sentiment as that might affect engagement of the system, leading to less resources in the future, and housing could become even greater than it already is.
...the Spring Blossom Gazebo isn't even in this pack, you have to buy it separate for 800 or with the Large Decor Starter Pack. Oof.

This is where the predatory virtual currency comes in. With 1000 being the nearest quantity and the inability to buy specific amounts, if you want a single tree, you will be forced to grab the 1000 package. Even then, it is 7.50 USD/EUR, which is a LOT for a tree.

The Spring Blossom Decor Pack is now available on the store for 2500 Hearthsteel. There's also a new mount set above it.
They mentioned it in hotfix notes but unfortunately it seems that they forgot to respawn the NPC, so this hasn't gone live yet on all realms. Is it applied for anyone?
I hope I can still keep this job for a while longer. It definitely doesn't pay the best but I do enjoy disappearing into a rabbit hole every now and then, and there's not many jobs out there that have this perk inside of my knowledge/skill domain.
Focused on work so hard today that the entire day disappeared into the void storm. It has been full of math, researching, parsing and reworking old code, but I may have fixed yet another longstanding issue at work, or at least partially. Granted it created 2 new problems, but that's still progress.

YouTubers using an alleged leak for their videos isn't really a new thing, but the fact it is a mashed up version of the alleged whiteboard leak and the actual Northrend map without referencing the leak post in the video or description is definitely a choice in the off-chance it ends up real.
