My team was on hand last night for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's town hall meeting about their plans for the widening and reconstruction of the turnpike between Milepost 320 and 324. This area is between the Malvern/Phoenixville exit and the Valley Forge service station.

A couple weeks ago my team hosted a FAFSA Sign Up Event, helping future college students navigate the first step to securing financial aid.

The Chester County Intermediate Unit's E3 Re-Entry Program empowers individuals with prior justice system involvement with entry-level manufacturing skills, helping create a pathway to careers in the manufacturing industry.
The next program starts April 27 at the Coatesville Area Public Library.

Every year, the members of my Student Advisory Council engage in a service project to help give back to our community.
We were glad to join the West Chester Food Cupboard to sort donations and prepare bags ready to be picked up by their clients.
Sec. Carroll and I have been good friends back to when we served in the state house together. He was always my first call on anything related to transportation in my district.
It was a pleasure to see him at the Chester County Airport and discuss ways to strengthen Chester County's infrastructure.

It was a pleasure to tour the facility with the team at the Airport, PennDOT Secretary Carroll, and our county and local leaders. We had a productive discussion about their operations and the exciting future of aviation here in Chester County.
Chester County Airport is a large economic development engine for our community. As the third largest general aviation airport in Pennsylvania, the facility supports over 200 jobs between aircraft maintenance staff, flight school instructors, to the employees at the terminal's restaurant.

Next week Rt. 252 between US 30 and Friendship Drive will be closed overnight from Monday March 9 through Wednesday March 11 between 7pm and 5am for PECO utility construction.

Early literacy sets a foundation for a bright future, and we are working to make this resource available to every child in Pennsylvania.
Looking at the calendar we are working 9 to 5 today to advance childhood literacy and introduce legislation that would expand Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program across Pennsylvania.

It was a joy to be with the Henderson High School Black Student Union for their annual banquet. This year's banquet theme was โA Century of Black Legacy: Past, Present, Future,โ and we were glad to celebrate students and community leaders who are continuing a legacy of excellence.
Two more senate budget hearings will be held in Harrisburg today.
At 1pm the Senate Appropriations Committee will hear from the Public Utility Commission. At 3pm the Committee will hear from several state universities including West Chester University.
