Today, I am joining unions and organizations, businesses, and other community leaders for a Day of Truth and Freedom. Minneapolis is showing yet again that we will not tolerate the narrative coming from Washington. The Minneapolis City Council released the following statement:

To all the neighbors and businesses participating in community actions today - thank you. Remember to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and take warming breaks when possible if you plan to be outdoors. Up to date "Know Your Rights" info can be found on the Minneapolis website.

Update on ICE-Involved Shooting & Resources for Residents
I am writing to share an update on the murder of Renee Nicole Good by a Federal ICE agent yesterday (01/07/2026).
I am deeply concerned about the removal of the BCA from the investigation into Renee's death and will push for their reinstatement to ensure transparency, accountability, and justice. Read my statement from yesterday: https://content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/MPLS-4037e5f?wgt_ref=MPLS_WIDGET_119
