Can you unregister a block template bundled in a block theme?
unregister_block_template() is aimed more for plugins afaik.
I need to unregister a WC template when WC is not activated. @briancoords.com @elliottrichmond.co.uk anyone?

I think the shift depends on better tools, education, and demand for modern features. As block themes improve and classic themes lose support, adoption will likely accelerate. Curious—will users or developers drive this change?

While talking performance, @felixarntz.bsky.social mentioned that switching from a classic theme to a block theme can be one of the biggest boosts to your site's web vitals number.
One benefit of WP controlling the theme's frontend is they can continually improve it.
