Joe Hendry Crashes Ricky Saints' Live Performance | WWE NXT YouTube video by The CW Network

Never forget that when WWE tries to erase a major NXT moment from history in the current era, The CW's YouTube channel always retains the segment while WWE tries to purge The Rock's geeked up promo or Ricky Starks' terrible version of The Rock Concert or whatever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpom...

If a news outlet was this reckless and regularly got its "projections" wrong, it'd be a huge scandal and people wouldn't trust them. Instead, you've got legitimate news organizations rushing to partner with these credibility-destroying companies?

Another example: no, it's not "now more likely that Iran's Supreme Leader position will be abolished than any given person taking the role." It's simply what the most gamblers on the platform are guessing will happen.

AEW owes a lot of its recent success to cultivating a female-friendly product while the Fed has eschewed appealing to that demographic in favor of gooners.

There's brilliance in simplicity. I feel WWE overthink things when just having him beat guys in squashes and slow rolling someone is the answer. Maybe he wins the Andre battle royal. Again, simple stuff that doesn't interfere with ongoing stories. WWE did this all the time.

Seriously, I'm not overreacting, am I?

The "mud hut" line is obvious and doesn't need any analysis. But what could "I don't dwell on my past like your past seems to be the only thing that you know how to talk about" be about other that Vaquer's activisism after she was nearly killed by her ex?

One of the first big hit songs that discussed the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Great song, and the whole "Animal Magic" album is also great.

The Blow Monkeys are right at the top of the sophistipop list for me.

BTW, I swear I didn't pick the photo for attention. There just aren't a lot of decent resolution photos of WWF-era Stacy Carter online.

...they had Liv Morgan cut at explicitly racist promo video on Stephanie Vaquer that also appears to call out Vaquer as a crybaby for speaking out about her ex almost murdering her as well?!?!?

That's a new one.

Kris threw down the gauntlet, so here we go: The first entry in a series that looks back 25 years at the WWF firing Stacy "The Kat" Carter for what was publicly presented as having no adequately explained reason, husband Jerry Lawler quitting in solidarity, Paul Heyman replacing Lawler on color commentary, and the eventualy Lawler/Carter split. Topics of discussion in part 1, which covers March 2001, include:

The various explanations for Stacy's firing that don't really have any connection to each other and largely feel made up.

The elephant in the room from what we learn later: When did they find out that someone was threatening or attempting to revenge porn Carter? Would the WWF of 2001 have handled it anything like how the WWE of the mid-2010s-on has?

If it was disciplinary, why wasn't Stacy warned?

Lawler booking and advocating for the Kat/RTC storyline himself, and the heat it could have gotten him.

The end of the WWF/Memphis Power Pro Wrestling agreement since Lawler was more valuable to Randy Hales than the WWF developmental talent.

Could the WWF have been taking issue with the surprisingly racy "Kat Kam" photos on Lawler's website?

...and more. Next time: The Honky Tonk Man gets involved, and that just scratches the surface.

5 years ago, there were multiple gender clinics in Texas with large multidisciplinary teams of experts and supportive infrastructure for trans youth to not only survive but thrive. All of that has been completely stripped away in a campaign of hate. They don't want us to exist.

Texas AG Ken Paxton has declared that it is illegal for mental health providers and therapists to treat trans youth. It means that trans youth will be denied access to any mental healthcare that isn't conversion therapy. Paxton also threatens parents of trans youth with child abuse investigations.
