The event will run the first weekend in May, and segment & volunteer submissions open next week on March 4th!

dont really care about the game awards but its fun to least 1 time a year to sit with my friends and point at the screen going "wow i know that one" giggling like children

for anyone who called this months ago when i got the prohero domain: i think you should become a pi. or dismantle the fbi. whatever you feel like really.

I really really appreciate anyone who reads this thread and continues to support me on my stream and on any events im still working on. :)

this doesnt mean im quitting speedrunning, ill actually probably be able to speedrun more for fun and ill be going live more. in the past its actually been very difficult for me to stream very consistently because of how many hats ive had to wear with so many events. im happy to have time to myself!

3.1, like i said before, please if you have the time and the skills please continue to support all types of events. the community especially needs it right now, and event organizers will also appreciate anyone who is driven to do good in the world.

3, with the news of the last point, ive also quit doing a lot of volunteer staff work on other events. the older i get and the more i do personally means i just cant devote the time that i used to be able to. theres a lot to list here, but ive already talked privately and have parted on good terms!

2.4, on that note: ive actually already gotten another job that im ecstatic about that made the quit and transition a lot easier for me so i personally have no (very little??) hard feelings, and i 1000% appreciate the time ive spent with them.

2.3, if youre reading this as an employee of games done quick, just know that i have no issues with any of you and if we were friends before, i still consider us friends! ill be at agdq, please reach out! the only people who i have any beef with are already aware, so i guess no news is good news lol

2.2, this isnt me saying to not support the events, its actually the opposite. i get that as a recession may be imminent, but if youre in a place to spread the word on work or events that get run on the channel, anything is appreciated genuinely, and ive realized that more the longer ive been there

2.1, there is (mostly) no ill will towards any members of management but there have been some big changes recently that i have both not been okay with AND have directly hindered my ability to do work for them, so the easiest way to proceed was to quit unfortunately.

2, im not longer with gdq. as much as i enjoyed my time with gdq, im not involved in the event operations or hotfix anymore. the closest thing im involved with is being active (ish) in the black in a flash and asian speedrunner association communities.

1.1, i understand for some it might come off as sudden but ive been kinda sitting on this change for a while so honestly if youre any of my close friends, this might have been a long time coming.

1, ive changed my username. without getting into it too much, i havent really felt that attached to the limga/limy username since ive been, "that" for lack of a better word. ive changed it to gz_hero (gz is short for groundzero, said out loud it should rhyme lol)

just wanted to let everyone know in general theres a couple of notable life changes that have happened recently and ill make this into a thread because theres kind of a lot at once and i want to make it readable to people who care about me
