Not sure it gets better than this combo of a Field Notes Raven’s Wing and the Spoke Design Roady XL Blaze Orange/Titanium. (With Zento .38 refill in it.)

Book 17 of 100

I was surprised to realize that I hadn’t read this when the series started up. A solid effort but not quite a five star for me.

Book 16 of 100

Pulled at my heart strings, a very real and very human book about a relationship in and out of an extreme situation.

K.J. Parker’s brand of dark and smart humor was reliably great in the start of this new series. Can’t wait for book two.

Redid my blog design today. It mostly looks like it did back in 2003 now. A couple of finishing touches remain to be done.

It truly has been amazing for my mental health to have this week in between the ending of my old job and the beginning of my new one. A lot of mental hygiene going on.

Book 14 of 100

An excellent overview, especially for beginners, probably a little simplistic for my knowledge level but still interesting.

Book 13 of 100

A fantastic story that is a reminder that we all have at least a little bit of magic in us.

Book 12 of 100.

This one is really good, fairly short. A more somber and emotional take on the plot of the Groundhog Day movie.

Book 11 of 100.

A truly epic, both in length and story, tale of a Polynesian navigator that happens over a thousand years ago.

Book 10/100

This one had some really good stuff in it that I found useful. A main concept that I will utilize is β€œfreewriting” which I am adding to my journaling routine.

These get more and more bonkers as we go. They are just what I need right now, and I’m a little sad I only have one left at the moment.

Book 7/100

The timing of reading this one was not a coincidence. This book spoke to me and I took a lot away from it. We could all use a few moments of contemplation about the importance of character, especially our own.

I learned a lot reading this book, which says a lot given that I lived through all of this culture and change.

Started the New Year at work with a new computer.

1) It takes me a really long time to get a new machine to where I want it to be.

2) macOS Tahoe is a jarring visual transition. No choice because it's a new M5 MacBook Pro, but I wish I did. Guess it's going to take me even longer because of this.

The pocket notebooks I used in 2025. Mostly Field Notes but as the year went on, I also discovered that I really enjoy Dialog Notebooks.

We're doing a family trip to Mexico City next year. Would love any specific must do's or must eats.

The Loop Dream a Bit. Nothing innovative was created by committee. You have to stumble on that odd idea at 3:15a and recognize that you've never seen it before. Maybe no one has seen it. Let it bump around you...

This one is quite good.
