Better idea, multi-account subscription for Runescape, upcharge for multi-logging. Make it an extra $5 a month if they wanted. It'd still be cheaper than it is now.
MMO expansion rate is every 2-4 years and lets you have multiple characters per subscription.

So if the enemy normally hits lets say 10, maybe they hit up to 15 now (again ignore maths, just the theory).
If they hit you over 10, they take that amount over as damage.

Offhand defender type item, provides some bonuses, i dont know OSRS stat maths
You take increased damage, but whatever increased damage you take is also reflected back at the enemy ring of recoil style.
