Japanese Electronic Dictionary (Casio XD-G9850)
When I was working in Japan, I took the opportunity to buy a Japanese Electronic dictionary (電子辞書, or denshi jisho). I went to the BIC Camera store in Akihabara, and bought a Casio EX-word dataplus 10...
I haven't studied #Japanese for a while, so I pulled out a Casio math/science #electronic #dictionary that I bought a while back when I was in Japan. I forget a lot of kanji, so I wrote a short guide to remind myself how to use the dictionary:

Org Mode Beamer Presentations
Earlier I talked about using Org Mode to produce lesson worksheets for my students. This year I am thinking about using powerpoint-style presentation slides instead of worksheets to encourage students...

I initially tried TeX Studio, which wasn't bad, but the lure of #Emacs is too strong with its shortcuts, auto-completion and #Magit to help keep track of my changes.

Control-h is your friend :-) Doom Emacs is a gentler introduction to Emacs, since it starts you off with a sane configuration (that's assuming you can already use vi to some degree...)

I've muddled around with #Emacs on and off for years, but I got into it more seriously when I recently went back to uni and used it together with #JabRef and #LaTeX to write papers with proper citations. Now I use #LaTeX for some of the lesson notes I make for my maths students...
