gaussian splatting isn't just for 3D reconstruction, it's its own art form!!!

While we're still working on the core of Stardust, we thought it would be good to write down the philosophy of Stardust XR and making the future of XR more intuitive: stardustxr.org/blog
Slightly turbulent rainbow ring of plasma
Anistotropic bloom (vertical) on a rainbow ring of plasma
Swirling plasma being flung off a rainbow ring of plasma
A very thin and gaseous hexagon outline with a slight bit of turbulence
made even more, I'm gonna have to make these the rendering primitive for @stardustxr.org... seriously perfect for XR UI design
A floating panel with Blender running on the left, a turntable containing the 3D stardust logo in the center (armillary stardust object), and a massive hexagon grid of applications to the right (hexagon_launcher from protostar). Occluded is the black_hole button to minimize all the objects.
Not to mention you can also use freeform 3D objects in the environment right next to them as well, like a pen you can use to sketch anything (comet) just by grabbing it and drawing instead of needing to use a whole app that doesn't let you draw in the same context as you're thinking.
You can open Blender and Unity work on your avatar as an overlay on top of VRChat or work on Godot games just as seamlessly as the Quest edition, with no hard limits on anything.
In a way it's the first real spatial computing environment because it runs real computer apps and enhances them with 3D!
Some of biggest issues in XR right now are that XR operating systems don't let you do all the productivity/multitasking you want to do all in 1 place and on-device with ease.
Stardust XR lets you use your android and linux and web apps right next to each other with intuitive controls.
Thanks for taking interest in this everyone, if you'd like to support Stardust please financially support the lead dev Nova at github.com/sponsors/tec... and visit the website at stardustxr.org for info and community chats!
Thank you all!
