When Abba flew to the UK right after their American tour, they sold out 6 shows in Wembley Stadium, and could easily have sold out 10 more if they weren't already exhausted from almost 50 shows in a row. Top rock bands begged for VIP tickets to those shows, incl The Who, Zeppelin, and others.
Most people don't realize that even Led Zeppelin and The Who were huge fans of Abba.
Abba conquered the world in the 5 years before they came to America in 1979. Rock fans in America criticized them for being too sweet.
But everywhere else, Abba were golden gods, universally adored by music fans.

I just finished part one of this and just - WOW. I have some big big questions (particularly about capital structure and private ownership) but this project is a massively big deal. It's about way more than affordability. It's about whether we can have a functional and still democratic civilization.

In a little over 2 years, I've now listened to about 420 audiobooks on Audible, basically with my phone in my pocket whilst doing other things, about 8 hours here and there almost every day.
Mostly fiction in various genres, trying to expand my interests beyond just SciFi.
