A pun on the 1st book's description, of course. I notice there's a single narrator version but also a full cast dramatized version. I wonder which is best to choose?

Found it. But is it not ... "boring?" :)))
Never heard of that. I'll look for it :))
Abba began by winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. It was the only way for them to get heard outside their hometown in Sweden. Afterwards, mostly in the next 5 years or so, they sold 385 million albums.
When Abba flew to the UK right after their American tour, they sold out 6 shows in Wembley Stadium, and could easily have sold out 10 more if they weren't already exhausted from almost 50 shows in a row. Top rock bands begged for VIP tickets to those shows, incl The Who, Zeppelin, and others.
Most people don't realize that even Led Zeppelin and The Who were huge fans of Abba.
Abba conquered the world in the 5 years before they came to America in 1979. Rock fans in America criticized them for being too sweet.
But everywhere else, Abba were golden gods, universally adored by music fans.
Maybe too many, I sometimes think.
Thoughts and prayers.
Lots of trees here. Old ones often fall over the lines when the wind goes crazy, taking the power out.
A bird with a spiky, golden crest, blue facial skin, a red eye, gray beak, tan throat, and brown striped with tan on the back of the neck and shoulders. It is perched in a tree among dense vegetation.
A Hoatzin taking a break from munching leaves. Hoatzins branched off from the rest of the avian tree about 65 million years ago the are the only living bird in the family Opisthocomidae. #BirdOfTheDay #HeadShots

Just so we're all clear, this is a war crime and would be punishable by life or death under U.S. law.
*asteroids, not asteroid
Pete Hegseth last year shut the Pentagon office focused on trying to avoid civilian deaths. And now we learn that the Iranian girls school struck by a U.S. Tomahawk missile had a robust inline presence and its playground was easily visible on Google Maps.
War crimes tribunal prosecutor: Mr. Hegseth, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Hegseth: What about ignorance of [gestures at everything]?
Yes. I don't think we even know the majority of the longer term effects yet. Most likely, Earth- strength gravity, give or take maybe 5%, is essential for human health.
A ghost saw me but no one believes him.
i saw a post earlier asking if people think the increase in videos of dragons since the advent of genAI is because the AI data centers are destroying their natural habitat and driving them out into places where humans can more easily capture vide of them. i just want to say no, i do not think that
Greeted first thing this morning by snow and a visit from one of the raccoons!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Happens here a lot.
Yes, this is a great idea & prob actually factual to some degree. Too bad idiot Muskenshite missed reading it in his childhood scifi days. It pops up strongly in The Expanse as well, but in that, it's not a "never" situation, just a difficult one. With even lower gravity on asteroid, re "Belters."
I just finished part one of this and just - WOW. I have some big big questions (particularly about capital structure and private ownership) but this project is a massively big deal. It's about way more than affordability. It's about whether we can have a functional and still democratic civilization.
If they could just ban everything spawned by egotistical emotionally stunted techbro creeps, that would be even better.
Cats are smarter.
Reality doesn't matter, tho.
Audiobook update:
In a little over 2 years, I've now listened to about 420 audiobooks on Audible, basically with my phone in my pocket whilst doing other things, about 8 hours here and there almost every day.
Mostly fiction in various genres, trying to expand my interests beyond just SciFi.
Very interesting.
