I got access to RStudio's AI enhanced beta, and oh my is it nice... Much number crunching to be had here, and way easier then copy/pasting between Claude Code/Codex and RStudio.

Testingβ¦
I took the excellent work by @josephjefe.bsky.social and did some customizations to come up with some additional data points (PFF Snaps and rating data) to evaluate salary cap info, and hosted my first Shiny app which allows anyone to run this for all 32 teams.

Ha - needs a lot of work still, but a fun side project to see how far along the AT Protocol is at this stage.
One thing that appears? to not be possible is DMs.
Update - Notifications working π
Got bored, built a macOS swift BlueSky app.
Working:
- Posting to BlueSky
- Replying to posts
- Timeline
- Bookmarks
- Profile view
Not Working (yet):
- Notifications
- Quality search
Iβm not sure how far Iβll take this at this point, but a fun exercise in creating a macOS app.
Neat it worked! πͺ
Test post⦠from my macOS BlueSky Swift native app.
Gut feel is that πiPhone 17 Pro Max is calling my name, despite the obvious better looks of the 17 Air in all aspects but the color.
Really happy with how things have been improving in the Obsidian space of late. Bases feature looks to be a game-changer (at least for me personally, databases are fun!), and has pulled me back into Obsidian from the comfy confines of the still excellent NotePlan 3 app.
Pumped to finally have a date for getting fiber internet in my home for the first time. π

MacUpdater
MacUpdater has become an essential part of my digital toolkit β a rare utility that solves a genuine problem without creating new ones. It scans your Mac for outdated applications (tracking over 100,000 apps) a... https://hunsanger.blog/2025/03/23/macupdater-macupdater-has-become-an.html

Every time I return to Obsidian, NotePlan introduces a feature Iβve been waiting for, compelling me to stay. If NotePlan were to develop a Dataview-like plugin, I might never switch to another note-taking application again.
Instead of sharing my Apple Music relay list which is littered with kids music at this point in my life (and happily so).
Here are my personal favorite albums of 2024:
1. No Name - Jack White - A return to my favorite Jack White sound.
2. I've Tried Everything but Therapy Pt. 1 - Teddy Swims
4. UniFi NAS Pro - I have been eyeing up a NAS for some time, but really didn't need the bells and whistles that Synology and others offered. I love the simplicity of the UniFi NAS Pro and its tight integration with the Unifi ecosystem.
3. AirPods Max (lightning) - I have had the AirPods Max for a few years, but with a newborn they became my most used headset. Connectivity to Apple TV to watch TV silently while a baby is sleeping in your arms cannot be understated. I also strongly recommend the Max Stand. www.themaxstand.com
Modular charging station
2. The Scosche Baselynx 2.0 modular charging system. Difficult to spell brand name, but otherwise highly recommend this for charging all the things.
Tech I'm thankful for this year:
1. iPad Pro 11" (M4) - first time owning a "small" iPad Pro (came from the 2018 12.9"), and the portability factor has led to a significant increase in my usage.
