In New Delhi at the AI Impact Summit, I met with Ministers, CEOs and leading experts from across the world to discuss how we can turn AIโs transformative power into shared progress.
We have launched an investigation against Shein under the Digital Services Act.
It will focus on Sheinโs sale of illegal products, including child sexual abuse material, its addictive design, lack of transparency of its recommender systems.

The mandate from Europeans is clear:

๐น 52% trust the EU to strengthen security
๐น 53% see Space Policy as a key security tool
Europe is investing in our collective sovereignty and industrial competitiveness.
We preliminarily found TikTok in breach of the Digital Services Act for its addictive design.
Our investigation suggests that the platform did not properly consider how these addictive features could harm the physical and mental wellbeing of its users, including children and vulnerable adults.

We are opening an investigation into Grok because we believe that X may have breached the DSA.
We have seen antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.
In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights.

The European Commission strongly condemns the travel restrictions imposed by the US.
Our digital legislation has been democratically decided by the European Parliament and our Member States.
The EC has fined X with โฌ120 million for breaching the Digital Services Act.
Today, we also accepted TikTokโs commitments.
Our objective is not a fine.
When platforms offer solid commitments, we accept them.
If they do not, we take action.
