I'm even more of this opinion after helping a friend do edits on an avi created entirely with VRCFury and having to figure how the fuck it was set up.

I personally am more just of the opinion of "learn how to do it the hard way first so that if the tool breaks, you know how to either do it without it, or you can fix it." learn the hard way, then learn shortcuts.

Shoutout to the time I printed the injection guillotine and then was too scared to use it.

My personal preference is 0 min brightness, rave or not. But jfc I wish people would do this more. It's so jarring to be at a dark event and see someone looking like moth bait (ie a lamp) in the darkness.
