well, of course it doesn't do anything that's why it needs a button lmao
for real tho, i think UX vs product is the same fight as software dev vs sales promising the moon

just to know, what do you mean by Beacon code ? i can't find anything aside from aviation related stuff
Yep. Exactly.
The key distinction between a nonlethal and a lethal throw is what part of their body you let Newton's 3rd law act upon first.
You're trying to subdue the person (in my case I was trying to deescalate the situation and blindsided the idiot) so no need to do permanent damage.
sorry for the yapping but it's a martial art that's dear to me, it has actually helped me prevent injuries falling down, the rolling/shoulder break fall training is drilled so deep it's overridden the "need to catch myself falling" reflex with a "roll till impact force is dissipated and get up"
and sure, there are striking methods in judo, but they're not a focal point of the teaching iirc.
iirc a lot of -do martial art are demilitarized version of war/lethality oriented arts / -jutsu martil art . jujutsu has you grab folk and piledrive them in the ground for instance
like, why do you hold your opponent as you throw them to the ground ? to not smash them into it,( if you want lethality, go with jujutsu, it's war shaped ancestor), then on the ground ,you get them into a hold and block them till they tire and give up,
yeah, judo, at least how i was taught it, is great for that stuff, because it's core tenet really are "maximal effect minimal effort" and "mutual benefit and wellbeing", like, you're goal isn't to massacre your opponent, it's to make them give up aggression,
so yeah, always hold someone as they fall down after a throw, because unless they've got the breakfall reflex drilled into their head, they'll just bang their head and yeah, back of the head hit => brain might swell and/or bleed => person might die
a similar proud moment for me is the only time i actually used judo(which i'd not practiced in 15 years)against someone, which was to put someone who was drunk and probably got roofied who was getting agressive into a "floor jail"/ "sit your ass down and chill out" without hurting them
DMS is really nice because it allowed me to customized a lot of apps color scheme with a single click, and does a lot of stuff out of the box that work well and look good
welp, i finally moved from hyprland/waybar to niri/DMS , still rocking that @dustrial.net wallpaper and color scheme, the next step might be to reverse engineer the way the wallpaper was made and replicate it in processing , record a perfect loop and use that instead (if that's ok with the creator)
i'd almost forgotten about it, thanks for the reminder,
this post just activated a dormant memory of this video and it's sadly fitting www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba8n...
startup idea: an app that can access their glasses, execute compute at home code to fold proteins and make them overheat on their face
Startup Idea: an app that lets you know if someone has them glasses on so you can chose or not to be part of their system!
finally finished switching over to endeavourOS after getting mad at windows today for the last time,i finally open youtube, and on the first line of recos i get this www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPxf... , YOU CAN'T MAKE THAT SHIT UP, tbh i feel like the world is healing
Putting money on a weird variant of thumper since it's supposedly a spiritual continuity of firefall (and not gooner slop)
i'd see it as a way to filter the "weak" (read , the non terminally online people who still have a modicum of self respect)
Take-off, engine ignition and release of the "Leduc 010" from 1946.
One of the craziest aircraft in French history (Personally, one of my favourites), powered solely by its ramjet engine.
Here, a flight in the early 50s.
Also iirc the launch procédure for the Leduc was "go on a sharp dive to gain enough speed so the ramjet can fire up" which is a bit insane
Fuck yeah parasite plane who rest on top of another plane has to be my favorite gender (looking at the bussan + mryia combo)
Yeah that make sense,+ i don't know what tools your using, if you can do a n+1 pass to add the effect or maybe do the blending via a generalised "overlay" texture input that can be used optionally, and use a separate shader for the wear and tear ?
Making it separate from the base material either way
Neat, absolutely love the camo, one thing though(ignore if you're not looking for feedback), but it feels like some of the wear and tears should be "oriented" either from rain and/or from atmospheric re-entry, instead of being chipped all over the surface
the overall goal is to spend time setting a clean desk environment and user experience before i make the jump on my main desktop computer
spent the afternoon ricing my laptop following @diinki.cat crashcourse(to not say ripping off most stuff) and not gonna lie, this feels good, next step is setting up the gtk themes and such, then setup wifi/battery/etc widgets (wallpaper by @dustrial.net )
for anyone curious i think i found another article on this www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottis...
Also it absolutely has a "every frames a painting" vibe
Just looked at the steam page and i've got a question you hopefully might have insight on, but where the face painted on the models or on a separate plane?
