once he gained confidence he quickly became my favorite gizz vocalist. i remember even just in 2023 he felt nervous but by the time of flight b741 he was on top of his game

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

i might have been able to get away with ahtal ka mixed set, but i did armor set searches and could never find a combination with my talismans that let me get anything better than what silverwind was already giving me at G rank

special combo skills, for my playstyle silverwind was best but i could NOT deviate from it at all

i did silverwind nargacuga armor in my game and never got to finish the set cause people kept dying at the level 15 fight

this is old gen, so you need 10 points to activate a skill, so the only actual skills you can activate are the really low level ones with a +8 talisman and some slots. you CAN roll a talisman with +2 to a deviant special skill and allow you to use another piece of armor but you never will

deviant weapons are always better than non deviant weapons, while deviant armor sets have unique skills but 0 slots for customization. once you commit to a deviant armor set you 1. have to start from level 1 and 2. you can't even add skills to it minus anything you can get just with a talisman

each deviant has 10/15 levels to their fight, and you need tickets from each level to upgrade your gear. assuming you get 2-3 tickets per fight, you can upgrade your weapon and 1-2 pieces of armor. to complete an armor set that's 45+ hunts just for G rank

the monsters themselves are good, its the mechanics surrounding their gear that i hate

but man, FUCK wystones. but FUCK the deviant system in generations more. hypers are fine. tempers are fine. afflicted is fine. the granularity of upgrading deviant gear in generations is awful and the way it locks you into a full set sucks too.

despite my love of monster hunter, i don't think any of them are 10/10 cause each of them has *something* that i really don't like and it's usually the gimmick of the end game. okay, MH3U is perfect. i don't think i have complaints about that game actually, i just think MH4U is better
