I remember Steve Wright playing it every single day for what seemed like months until it finally made the charts.
I did that just a couple of weeks ago. So good. And inevitably I was in bits by the end.
BBC2 Mascots Hullaballoo and Custard, two kangaroos.
Hullaballoo and Custard according to a quick search. No idea if they influenced the name, though.
That's right! And am I imagining that it was a reference to some of the branding around BBC2's launch in the sixties?
I remember that. iPlayer quickly became a superb TV streaming platform, so it made sense to let other broadcasters share the platform. But apparently that was bad for competition. I suspect it would have been better for viewers.
But presumably they can only build their first hotel once they've built four houses?
I'd be really interested to know if the new Tracy Morgan comedy, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, was named that as a coincidence (the plot bears no similarity to Reggie Perrin) or whether the creators used the name Reggie because it was in the back of their minds somehow.
Minor gripe when the world's on fire, but I really wish Shazam would display the composer's name for classical pieces. Just showing the orchestra or soloist and the piece name isn't helpful a lot of the time.
I'll say it again.
An excellent drama, adapted by the legendary writer Andrew Davies. This came out a year after his final series of A Very Peculiar Practice and a year before his adaptation of House Of Cards! Diana Rigg deservedly won the BAFTA for Best TV Actress for this. A must see!
There is death and wanton violence everywhere we look, there is unimaginable loss and fear, all thanks to a handful of men at the helm who have never had to answer for a single wrong.

Filth.
I hated the ending, but I know that's more down to me and my preferences.
At last year's locals, my (adult) daughter asked me something about the polling cards and the lady at the desk told me off for going to answer her. I'm probably the problem, aren't I?
It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise why they were dressed like that.
Boom goes the dynamite. This was the leverage Trump had over Sarandos and what Netflix got out of them backing off. Pure kleptocracy.
Oh man, got to work with Dan for a while as we tried to adapt two of his properties. Brilliant guy. Just one of those brains that inspires unending awe. A real titan in the industry. What a career. He will be missed.
There are none greater.

I hope that wasn't his crib sheet that fell off the keyboard. #totp
Banger after banger.
Violinski - what Nigel Kennedy could have been. #totp
That's genius.
Well that's certainly true. (Oh, and I enjoyed your Wonder Man chat. Nice to hear you enjoyed it as much as I did.)
I thought Paramount was his favoured buyer because the Ellisons are big suck-ups to him.
A hand towel with the 2005 Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie logo.
In my bathroom right now. Slightly later vintage than the picture above.
That was the one that spoiled it for me. Ages before I knew what the film was or had a chance to see it.
