Erick just made Cat 3 landfall, by far the record earliest E. Pac. major hurricane landfall in western Mexico dating to the late 1950s.
Kiko (Aug. 26, 1989) was previous record, over 2 months later than Erick!
Here were previous May-July Cat 3+ EPAC hurricane tracks. Don't see any MX landfalls.
