Didn’t feel great since I’m still very sick, and the wind was brutal, but nonetheless I’m glad that I still got out there & ran. Some mileage is better than no mileage. Summer will be here soon enough.

Running is about the big picture and even if it wasn’t the workout that we had in mind, it still benefited us. That’s what’s important. Younger and newer runners can’t always see the big picture. It’s a sport that takes time and discipline.
I am sick and he is still recovering from a very fast race on Wednesday night. With cooldown & warmup, mileage today was 10.5. We all have good days and days where our bodies can’t meet us where we want to be, and that’s okay. We’ll hit it next time. Training isn’t always about hitting strict goals
Ran a progression run with one of my athletes this morning. Our original goal was to cut down from 7:20 to 5:50 over 8 miles, but we made to 5.5 miles and cut down to 6:10 & then just finished the last 2.5 at tempo. He was disappointed but I reminded him that it was still a productive speed workout.
