Why is the Minneapolis Affordable Housing Trust fund, that all residents pay for, only available to developers and not to residents especially in emergency? Also think about who would crash out if we even suggested we all had access to a fund we pay for.
And wtf do they even do besides drive up the cost of tuition?

I would also add that the New New Sincerity speaks kindly but carries a hammer and sickle.
Just thinking about how we donβt have money to keep the public hospital open but thereβs an unlimited budget for police overtime
Me to myself, every day, while getting dressed. π
A multicolored quilt made of of scraps with the words WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW staggered down it with a large beautiful eye centered between the words. The eye has a rainbow camera aperture as the iris. It is quilted densely.
Another resistance quilt finished this week. The eye is my own design, the letters are a fpp pattern by QuiltByNight, the rounded corners and black binding are meant to resemble the phones we the people are using to document the horrors and disprove the governmentβs lies about what they are doing.
This is very important news, and I will be disappointed if within the next 5 years we don't have any picturebooks about wolves feeding blueberries to their pups! www.mprnews.org/story/2020/0...
This is why weβre all here.
I donβt know why a dfl account would not use alt text but I think our low vision homies should be able to share in this. Rest in peace Alex Pretti.
If thin scrap cotton, ironing metered edges and sewing handmade kitchen napkins! (Tea towels can be any size, technically π )
My dfl highlights from last year are asking brian strahan how many properties he owns at caucus in 2025 and calling sam schulenburg a loser at the mayoral convention, before the losers all left and mpls gave omar fateh the mayoral endorsement. I'd do it all again, but meaner and louder next time.

I am a product of the MN public school system, and when asked by folks out of state what makes us tick, why do we/MN respond collectively this way, I credited the MN teachers for providing the knowledge and tools required to meet this moment.
Minneapolis Public Schools, along with all Minnesota public schools, are the heart of our community. we are nothing w/o our children, and investing their future makes us a stronger & safer state.
our school budgets are facing huge deficits this year. letβs invest in schools like we do the police.

Minnesota flag colors of bright and light blue. Colors swapped on each mitten. Here on left light blue background with bright blue text says βF*cK ice GTFO get outβ and on right dark blue background with light blue text saysβmn niceβ
Each mitten is flipped over. Only noticeable difference is the thumb shows phrase βyeah noβ
Theyβre done. π
Contribute to mutual aid and you could win these mittens!
Every $5 donated, call, protest, patrol counts!

Lego mini figs with FCK ICE & Rebel Loon tops, carrying anti-ICE protest signs & a MN Ice Out Now Flag behind them with a fluffy gray cat behind the Legos.
Got the Brickmania MN ICE Out Legos and they look pretty great TBH.

I am *technically* fine and safe but i have been crying most of the day and I stayed up way too late. Winning combination!
Check out Brainwashing of my dad documentary.
The U.S. is a country that is unable to handle death but is awash in it. A country with people who often can't process grief. These are terrible things.
remarkably tone-deaf move by a-klo as she launches a gubernatorial campaign in the state that has been under violent siege from ICE for months.
the "just asking questions" to "legitimate questions about fairness in sports" to "the state doesn't have to consider us as real people" pipeline working exactly as designed.
at the @mplsdfl.org event, sen doron clark describes his entry into DFL politics and said of the ICE surge, βthe crap that weβve been through has shown that we build neighborhoods and we build neighborliness in ways that i think weβve been all dreaming about, and realize that we can do.β
Cole is a must-read on this. Just Monday, I beat an eviction effort by a park in the Metro, owned by a California investment company, on behalf of a pro bono client. He's lived there for decades and they're throwing the book at him. Bad stuff afoot for the manufactured housing market.
every single time it gets laid bare for you, every single time you have a choice, to retreat into copaganda and cop hagiography (that you know to be false,) every single time you have a choice to move on from here when it is finally enough already.
You wonβt find cleaner waters than the Boundary Waters. Think endless streams of water filled with bass, walleye, trout and northern pike β total wilderness, only accessible by canoe.
Why would we let a Chilean mining company pollute these public lands, take our minerals and ship them off to China?
A graph using reports from people over papers showing Numbers of reported kidnappings and activity from Minnesota, California, Florida, Texas, and then a combination of all other states. The highest Spike is in mid-January showing that Minnesota was reporting 500 incidents a day while California was reporting right around 100. Along this whole graph, Minnesota is showing at least double reports compared to everyone else with the exception of a time in very early January when California was almost on Pace with what we were seeing here. There is a small heading up top that says: immigration enforcement in Minnesota dwarfed the rest of the nation.
Seeing this visualization has been really impactful for me. There were times when people tried to come at us sideways for claiming this is *different* and massive in a way that we hadn't seen other places. But it really really has been.
Wow, a mayor can just do that? IMAGINE
