New year, new stuff! We've been working hard on adding some nice quality of life features to Sketch lately 🫶 out today

2025 was our biggest year yet. 3 major releases. Over 250 new features, improvements and fixes. Stack layout. Frames. Automatic concentric corners. Progressive blurs. Glass. A major redesign. MCP server. And so much more.
and yes I use a light themed code editor, I'm one of those.
TLDR It creates a a texture of `1xlen(colors)` pixels per plane as a LUT and passes that into the shader so it can sample the same index from each to do the mapping.
TIL Godot shaders 😄 I'm toying around with a game where the character can switch "planes" and each plane has a color. I was not looking forward to re-painting every sprite per color, so I figured I could do this programmatically with a hex color mapping defined in code.
Turned out to work great 👌
Recently I've gotten The Itch™ to learn about game dev, game design, pixel art and all things games (likely caused by my recovering relationship with gaming). Figured it was worth sharing something!

Our next major update is here — and it’s got glass in it.
Yep, that glass. Non-solid, lowercase-G glass. It works right out of the box (as all glass should?) but you can also tweak every parameter. It’s a lot of fun.

we worked on an update to the web app inspector to include all the new properties from frames, stacks and graphics. now it's easy to copy values, css, and a box model preview 〜
