I wish that when fursuiting, ppl interacted with with them as a character instead of just approaching & saying "your fursuit is so cute !!"

In 2024 I tried to fursuit every single day, even if it was just throwing a head on for 10 minutes. I made it to July or August before I stopped. It was mostly good, but a lot of it being alone backfired and made me yearn for better instead of more.

My subconscious self invented some very un-fun situations in my dreams last night to give me convention & fursuiting fomo 🙃

(This doubles as my "sorry, I won't be at MFF this year but I hope everyone has a great time!" post.)

Today was "show fursuits to my new therapist" day and honestly it was amazing! Furry as a form of self exploration and expression has undoubtedly been one of the best things to ever happen to me.

I'm often one to say "I mean I'll take it if the alternative is the trash" cause it just feels bad to see things get tossed - and I'll say that here, too, lol - but sometimes I'm just delaying the journey to the trash rather than actually giving things a second life.

Aw those look like fun, though! But I totally get ya. I have a hard time getting rid of things, too, especially if they were once important to me but no longer are.

I believe it's referring to the options you can select in your preferences for what gets recommended in the 'Explore' feature. On Android it's under 'Settings' > 'Content and media' > 'Your interests'.

And yeah, the current stretch fur monopoly is unfortunate. I know I could source my own stretch fur and make my own suit, but I'd have to figure out my own sublimation or dyeing process since I haven't been able to find any that match colors straight from the manufacturer 🙃

Awesome! Thank you for all the tips! Didn't think to match paint swatches. Fortunately I really only need to match one color super closely (my rust brown fur). The rest can be close enough and I'll be fine.

Oh hey! I've got my eye on the stretch fur one that ForFun makes. Had a friend get one and I really like the texture of it.

Hey! I know this was months ago, but did you have any success? I'm looking into color matching for a petsuit as well and trying to figure out what the best approach is.

Managed to get the easiest O'Hare connection possible: exactly enough time to find a bathroom then get right back on the same plane and in the same seat.
