It thanfully doesn't happen too often, but the times when gundam lets slip a little casual misogyny genuinely breaks my immersion a bit, because it's so unbelievable that a society that's supposed to be that much more advanced than we are would still uphold such regressive values regarding gender

this post was inspired by gundam, but it's not unique in this aspect. I think if you're writing about humanity's future you should never assume that level of stagnation. Even if you end up being wrong, you should try to envision where we will end up based on the direction we're going
