It's hard to claim to be the paper of record when your dictionary is just 500 words and a chewing gum wrapper

So does my wife

There are however myriad other things that are totally my fault and for those I apologize without reservation

LinkedIn chose creators over collaboration, so we raised $10.7M to build for innovation not attention We build in fluid networks not silos. We need a platform that believes external collaboration is about more than performative content.

So we raised $10.7m to build a new professional platform oriented around high-trust networked group chats in large part because I think we're better as a species than "six business lessons I learned on my trip to Cancun".

Introducing Uniffi for React Native: Rust-Powered Turbo Modules – Mozilla Hacks - the Web developer blog Uniffi for React Native: Mozilla and Filament's open-source tool lets you build high-performance Modules in Rust.

One big thing we open-sourced as part of that were new Uniffi bindings between Rust and React Native hacks.mozilla.org/2024/12/intr... that we just extended to Wasm. It means people on the matrix protocol can now have all their business logic in rust and then use RN across mobile and desktop.

One of my theories is that the future is more likely to be oriented around networked group chats than classical feeds, so we actually built on top of and contributed to the matrix protocol not ATProto.

This is a defensive, 10-post thread from an NYT boss, and the only thing it truly illuminates is the need for the Times to bring an independent journalist back into the role of public editor.

I'm sure they save lives but whomever decided that smoke detectors should be interconnected and bleep at random when any one of them has a problem should have received a sound thrashing.

Quick Poll: roughly how many Slacks, Discords, WhatsApp Groups and Signal group chats are you in for professional purposes outside your internal employee Slack etc.

Two images of Zohran. On the left is the original from the campaign which shows a close cropped beard. On the right is a version used by Cuomo’s SuperPAC with an artificially longer, darker beard.

Andrew Cuomo is afraid he'll lose, so his donors want you to fear me.

His SuperPAC just sent out a mailer that artificially lengthened and darkened my beard.

This is blatant Islamophobiaβ€”the kind of racism that explains why MAGA billionaires support his campaign.

I think my wife's favorite is when at restaurants I order a side of mushrooms and explain to the waitstaff it's because I'm a 'fun guy'. 17 years of hilarity from that one.

AI is ruining the core executive skill of dashing off emails replete with spelling and grammatical errors. How are we supposed to show that we're important and busy now?
