Seconding Vanaspati for Isuka since, as far as she was concerned, it was her fault that the Final Days were happening again at all and every blasphemy she saw just made her more and more scared that it could be happening to her own family as well, which she would NEVER forgive herself for.

Khai, like Isuka, never took to arcanima and was always much more talented with black magic since it's more about technique than scholastic understanding. The idea of learning to glamour has never even crossed his mind as it serves no obvious purpose in protecting what he cares about.

Suzu, on the other hand, took to their father's magics like a fish to water and likely had a rough self-taught understanding of the principles involved before even leaving the Steppe for Eorzea. She often uses it for demonstration purposes where physical props would take too long.

...complex at first since she could never make heads or tales of arcanima when asking her father how it works. By now she could probably do it if she wanted to, but having grown into such a proud craftswoman she'd much rather just make something instead of using glamour to look like it.

I imagine glamours to work a couple of ways depending where you are. In the east it might be a blessing from the Kami, but in the west maybe it's a popularized extension of arcanima that prisms make simple enough for laymen to use.

Isuka probably still found the practice too...

Suzu is a quiet observer in most contexts, making herself known only when she fully grasps a situation and believes she has an actionable contribution.

Khai is a blunt instrument, acting before thinking and trying to resolve things quickly.

Isuka is somewhere in the middle.

...for Alphi as it would give her something else to tease him about, though I think he'd then go to Tataru and the twins would start competing.

I also think Isuka trusts Estinien to never make a passable meal, but in entertaining enough ways that she'd let him try now and then anyway. 🤣

Isuka trusts most of the Scions to make meals that are inoffensive at worst, but I think she avoids letting the twins cook when possible.

That said, Ali is a little sister to her and she 100% folds and teaches her to be better. I imagine Ali wouldn't insist on doing the same...
