anyway, putting sets up on sc again both old and new is a small manoeuvre, but i’m happy i’m doing it again and very grateful to see people from yrs ago checking it out, so thanku. i will keep being brave and keep practicing honesty w self expression. i owe it to my friends and i owe it to HARDCORE🩷
-that i could love and want things enough to allow myself to be vulnerable or stick around for extended periods of time. after a life of segments, reinvention and escape, im teaching myself to be strong enough to stick around, and how to truly evolve. 🪐
ive been learning a lesson abt how to maintain good things in the long term. there were patterns and habits where things would fall apart or i would run away, where i felt i needed to keep an arms length for my protection, that 2 years max of anything was the norm for me, and it was scary to admit-
im still in the process of getting my life + my relationship to art and music back to strength after all this time. but ive worked hard on both and i feel more supported by my close group of friends than ever and more capable of being present for my loved ones. theres a bright future on the horizon
this was the beginning of a long stint of questioning myself, my skill, my ego, my place in music spaces, and dealing with some overdue things in my personal life, after the biggest ‘peaks’ on paper of whatever i was building at the time i started falling away from my friends and the scene
in hindsight this was a rly strange time for me, i did two rly big gigs that i didnt fully feel like myself for tracklisting wise (and also generally out of place in real life), caught covid, went straight to europe without enough recovery time and existed in a weird brainfog for a long time after
2023 set i did for 10 foot heavy on fbi radio is now back up on soundcloud after a while ^^ (used to be on rinas page, now on mine for posterity!)
