Yes! We love a helpful partner who trades shifts. I will say, mine did cuddle the baby between 11pm and 1am many nights but our eldest still looks for cuddles in the night, so he needed seeing to as well and my mom was here for three months, so she helped me loads and encouraged me to nap frequently

They are a huge adjustment, especially after birth. Like, you just dive right in already exhausted. Nights were the worst—I was on my own for those and had to ensure I wouldn’t fall asleep sitting up. I’m happy you were able to stay home! It’s such a cool and special time

I’m finding it okay this time around, like I’m still napping when the baby does which helps, but it’s been eight years since the last time I did this lol

I’ve not touched Grimstone 2 since I’ve broken my foot. I know I should but overwhelm is very potent right now and when I’m so tired, I’m more likely to introduce other mistakes so I shall leave things be a bit longer.

Morning all—the sleep was very much broken last night. Baby Sprite is at a developmental stage where she’s learning how to do so many things at once that we have a couple good nights and then it’s back to waking every 20-90 minutes while naps are similarly not great. 1/3
