In a way. It's a castle that used to be inhabited by an army that was destroyed X years ago. But in this map, it really does feel like it's a desert of memories as you can see these past events. This castle, in particular, is where we find a campaign that leads us to fight the general of that...
They are! I love the sun and the moon, too, how they always appear so close to us!
Haha that does sound fun!
Speaking of your books, btw, I've started Paper Crane Memories π
Yeah, it would be pretty sweet!
Big time, indeed...
Screenshot of Ashrah in Where Winds Meet in the desert region of Hexi at night, seen from the back, gazing at a castle whose towers glow a pale yellow as part of the structures dissipate as sand being blown by the wind. Half of the full moon is seen from behind the castle.
The desert of memories at night...

Now that I think about it, I'd really like an animated film by Timo Tjahjanto π

This sounds very interesting! I love the idea of exploring the life and relationships of these forgotten gods!
Lemme take a moment to ramble about one of my books, Forgotten Gods.
It's urban fantasy, yes. I know, I know, folks tell me urban fantasy is dead. But honestly, I neither knew nor cared about that when I wrote this a while back. π§΅

That looong elevator that Emile and Cylus ride doesn't go to the ocean, right? π€
That's where the fun is! xD
Thank you! π₯Ί I do try to make the cast as distinct as possible, which also ensures each character is unique! So I'm glad that comes through :3
Giddy Ashrah is what I live for ππ
Oh, in her family she absolutely is! xD
She can't, no π
... No, I won't write the spicy joke that's on the tip of my tongue, I won't...
Good for her!
... she even gets to ask the most important question: can Xiuying make ice cream out of thin air?!
If Ashrah is the definition of perseverance, Mileena is the definition of flights of fancy xD
Also important to note that while Ashrah is usually reserved, when she does get excited... well, you saw the snippet π
It does help to see the bad stuff coming. The problem is when it doesn't let you see the good things π
Askaly gets quite disappointed. She doesn't give up, though! And later +
I told you the fan will clash with the sword x)
Poor Ray needs a therapist :/
... though she doesn't truly believe in them at first. The world she builds in her head is far better than the real world she's forced to live in. That's actually why she tried so hard, for years, to get into the Dream Realm. (8/8)
... stay still for long, and her attention span tends to be rather erratic. If she's interested in something, she'll be VERY interested in itβand that too might suddenly be replaced by something else π
So yeah, flights of fancy are Mileena's thing. She likes to imagine hopeful futures even (7/8)

βThe skies belong to the birds, Mileena. Get your head down from there.β That's a phrase Empress Sindel directs at her daughter, Mileena, so... that tells us a lot, eh? π
Mileena can't (6/8)
That does change as she starts to change, but she's still more of a glass half-empty person.
Askaly loves daydreaming and imagining different scenarios in her head! Comes with being an artist. It *can* lead to disappointment. Case in point: when she first meets Xiuying and imagines an entire (5/8)

Sareena is quite creativeβshe must be, as a trickster! She doesn't really daydream, though, and tends to have a pessimistic view of things and the future as a whole, which isn't something we quite notice at first but gets more obvious the more we get to know her. (4/8)
Nitara can sometimes daydream, particularly when she's aboard the Vermilion Star and allows herself to just enjoy the trip and the view. She tends to be more grounded, though. When she's not imagining the doom of her people, of course, as happens a few times in EF π
Her creativity also shows (3/8)
