There are many issues with Iowa State right now, but from the outside looking in, it doesn't feel as if the team is playing with any joy. Every possession feels like an exercise in overthinking.
Well that finish to the half literally could not have been worse.
That was definitely a travel, but it's great to see Joshua finish out a play like that and start getting out of his funk,

Iowa State is so much more dangerous on offense when it keeps Buchanan down low in the dunker spot and Jefferson at the top of the key facilitating the pick and roll instead of just running tons of handoff actions around Buchanan beyond the three-point line.

Iowa State is panicking big time, and it's very ugly. They're just doing stuff to do stuff now. Dribbling and moving for the sake of not making it seem like they're doing nothing.
That was a critical juncture for Iowa State to get a bucket and stay in it, and they decided the best way to do that was taking two shots out of an iso post-up against the best frontcourt in America.
It takes a whole lot to get TJ Otzelberger to react to anything, and he is LIVID.
