Optimizing code for performance is such a weird thing... So many of my systems are pretty easy to make more efficient just by putting some actual thought and design behind them rather than just rapidfire prototyping without a plan.

Every so often I think, "I should make a game about birding" only to remember that the pure joy and thrill of birdwatching comes from doing it for realsies in beautiful nature with people I love and if I made a game I'd probably hate birds by the end..

..but sometimes it's hot outside, ya know? 🐦🦢🦅
