Is it possible that Rare has mistaken accounts that play on alliance servers as "dedicated players" and let their boosted balances influence the cutlass price?

50k is INSANE. There are players with thousands of hours who have nowhere near that much.

This doesn't seem like a well thought out idea. With two characters missing from each code AND it being alphanumeric that means there are 1296 possible combinations PER CODE. Nobody is gonna risk spending all that time guessing only to find out someone else got it first.
After only 5 days over 130k Obsidian grapple guns have been handed out. This wouldn't be possible if #SeaOfThieves was as dead as the people who use Steam charts as their sole metric to measure a game's health would like to pretend.
