Thatβs exactly how i hear it too π
My solo devs commits are like "checkpoint" but not because its a game feature but because is a checkpoint for myself to revert commits until that point where things were working fine lol

Doooooor
I guess Godot can do that since 4.6 then
Itβs easier to understand by playing it π Itβs playable in the browser, so no downloads are needed, and itβs also mobile-friendly (it doesnβt seem to work properly on iPhones so far tho)

Hi! Here is the game I made last weekend for the Global Game Jam! Itβs a music puzzle game about listening and remembering how a song sounds so you can recreate it by selecting the correct music tracks.
I used Godot as the solo programmer and musician, alongside a game designer and two 2D artists.
A tween cheatsheet for Godot, going over sequences, tweeners, transitions, eases, an example, killing tweens and other usefull methods
I'm officially going β¨part-timeβ¨ to make more free interactive guides for Godot!!
You can support me on Patreon and get early access and cool rewards π
To celebrate, I made a free tween cheatsheet in 8 languages, available here:

There are native tools for interactive music that I haven't tested. I mean tools like audio stream interactive

It is not a very new feature, but I think there is not much content online about how to use it properly imo.
I did manage to make FMOD work with an addon on Godot and was fun but still isn't very confrontable (maybe just a skill issue tbh). I was looking into the native Godot audio tools since works better for web games than FMOD in my experience and I want to make a web game next jam
No idea how useful this actually is but at least its a fun practice related to music in games. I probably should check on Godot's native tools for interactive music, they seem powerful and there is not much tutorials and stuff about it
I would like to make something reactive to music on the global game jam this year so I was testing out stuff on Godot.
So far it is just animation on sync to the beat and being able to trigger a function in any exact beat of the song. It also prints the current measure:beat of the song
I really have no idea lol, but what I would do is play around with the playback type between stream and sample on the audio stream nodes and project settings to check is it makes any difference.
I think it's cool when it happens to me with my prototypes. I have in mind that "If it feels fun just by wandering around, your are going in the right way". I think I heard something like that somewhere lol
Hellooo I would like to join as well. I'm from latin america and my main focus is game audio :)
I thought about using pixelart fonts and see how it goes, is that what you meant? or did you mean more like creating pixelart png for the text?
Eitherway I plan to work around it like you said, keeping the GUI outside of the viewport

I looks fun and appealing to play already π
Holaaa!
That's so cute omg! it's a feature, not a bug πͺ² I'd be trying to make it dance all the time

By the way, if anyone knows how to get clear text through viewports for a pixel art game in #Godot, I would like to know about it. the "P1" and "P2" labels look way better if I run them on a single-screen mode

I've been playing around with this silly #godotengine prototype and now it can be played on split-screen local multiplayer
I played it with my 12-year-old cousin, he had fun with it and played it for a whileπso I'm thinking of making it a platformer racing game. I still have a lot to learn lol
I believe this is very relatable to more than one π
If you use Godot, I made a shader-powered 3D lines-and-trails addon for my own game and put it up on GitHub for anyone to use. I won't be providing any support or maintenance. Basic instructions are in the README. Cheers. github.com/CozyCubeGame...

Thank you! :) I've been trying out viewports for it and it's going well so far. It's very likely that going to struggle with some other things I gonna want to do in the future, so I may reach out in that case π
this looks cool af omg
Totally agree, it was really fun to play
If youβre an indie game dev and youβre not making your games multi-platform, youβre shooting yourself in the foot! A thread π§΅:

Now I'm considering making a local multiplayer platformer game but I'm still pretty much a beginner using the #godotengine so I'm not sure π

Hi BlueSky! I'm a veteran VR dev (Job Sim, Vacation Sim, Rick & Morty VR, etc.) working on my first indie VR game!
Now that I'm quitting Twitter where I posted all my work, here's a thread summarizing the journey so far, for those who aren't familiar. π§π₯½π§΅π

As a beginner making stuff with #godotengine, it feels pretty nice that I was able to make this little practice thingy easily and without watching any tutorials π
(I have followed platformer tutorials in the past, I just didn't this time)
