There might be a round 2 next semester.
Almost 1,000 test takers, most did not get as far as you, take that as accomplishment.
Missed this earlier. If we do this again we'll try to have some recommended specs and browser.
Unfortunately we are not counting meltdown endings as a "win." This is more of a game over.
This is still a valient attempt and shows considerable guile. You should be proud.
Better luck next time.
We are preparing their diplomas now, with a seal of authenticity so itβs different from the one on the site.
Ensuring there's no risk of stolen valor.

Congrats to these two AGAT certified gamers, who completed MANIAC MANSION in under 4 hours with no outside assistance.
We encourage employers to hire them, Forbes to interview them and medieval peasants to raise pitchforks and scream stuff like βWitch! They must be a witch!β

831 attempts (not including 168 who began late and could not be considered).
Only 2 winners.
A 0.24% pass rate makes the AGAT one of the most prestigious and rigorous exams in the world.
The SAT, MCAT and most forklift operator certifications lie prostrate at our feet.

Tbd on future AGATs. We ended up getting way more emails than anticipated (4,500+). Turns out gmail wont let you send that many, had to use an email service (with data privacy). Some may have been lost in the transition, or you had a typo. But easily coulda been our mistake. Sorry you didn't get it!
The Agat is complete.
We will report back with the results soon.
Unfortunately the start time has passed. It was 1-2pm EST.
Fair, we'd also look into some recommended minimum hardware specs and a recommended browser.
Looks like most people got the experience as intended, but obviously we don't want anyone missing out.
Thanks for playing!
At this time unfortunately no. But there may always be another chance. Thanks for playing.
hmm that's odd in our tests we always had it like this. If we do this again, we'll make sure to have recommended specs for playing. Appreciate you giving it a shot!
We're still not sure why a few people encountered this. If we ever do this again we'll try to have some recommended specs and browser, etc. Which might help. But appreciate you giving this a shot. Sorry it didn't work out.

These games are a tricky beast, but we may run it back in the future, thanks for playing.
door codes were a little button in full screen mode.
just a functioning computer and webcam.
(also cannot promise this won't interefere with the performance of the test, as we recommend closing all background apps)
The test will be taken in full-screen mode (and once the test starts you won't be allowed to leave full-screen mode without ending the test). So you won't be able to alt-tab or check in on the stream. Beyond that it should be doable.
But if you get hints from anyone, we'll know!
In our opinion the AGAT certification is a sterling qualification for a multitude of industries from gaming to investment banking, aersopace, big law and neurosurgery.
If you can figure out an 80s adventure game, what can't you do?
Yes, you will be permitted paper and pen or pencil
The exam will feature a real 80s adventure game. We will announce with one after the exam.
Totally understand webcam concerns, unfortunately this is how remote exams are conducted.
FWIW we wont hold a balaclava against you.
In case you want a prestigious certificate on your wall theagat.co
The AGAT (Adventure Game Aptitude Test) is a standardized examination designed to assess if anyone can still complete an 80s adventure game without a walkthrough.
We will be utilizing college exam proctoring software during play, monitoring browser/smartphone activity.
