Both valid and useful points, and im genuinely glad when tech solves a problem for people, i guess I’m just wary of anything that is marketed as solving all problems for all people, especially when it’s a handful of the most evil people on the planet saying it
I occasionally use chatgpt to help close gaps in excel’s built in functionality but it doesn’t really save me time, I still have to check everything that much closer to make sure it didn’t hallucinate something. All of this would be fine if we weren’t overhauling the entire economy to prop it up
There was a report out the other day that AI in the workplace (I’m guessing they mean mostly LLMs) have not only not reduced workloads, but they’ve been a net addition to the amount of work that people have to do, when you favctor in crating the prompts, checking and revisiting, etc
