im sorry but what your describing contradicts its self. "Popularity isn't equal to quality" except it does to a major extent becomes something being popular often implies the content is good enough to serve the masses, steam charts will gives a trend even if isn't 100% accurate because it doesn't track private profiles. Regardless of how you feel, if a product doesn't server the masses it will never be good.
