or maybe conflating pop=popular is wrong?

05.06.2025 19:26 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

…seems unlikely too me

the definition of pop is kind of β€œwhatever is popular”

people who listen to metal often define themselves in contrast to what is popular πŸ™ƒ

spent this am with them on my spotify and their thing seems to be:

6 min songs that you can’t tell are metal for the first 4 mins

which i would imagine means they get a decent amount of play time, even if people skip once they get to the breakdown

yeah i’d consider it an amber flag if i was considering joining a company that said this

…and a red flag if i was joining a data technology / function

Azure is punishment

my guess is that c.98% of users don’t have the choice of whether to use it or not (company is full ms stack) which means ms have decided not to prioritise usability

just tell them, either during or immediately after the time they are being loud

someone did this to me once at a co-working space. it hadn’t occurred to me that I was being too loud

wasn’t offended, just moved to another location less near people

shut the towns and bulldoze 2% of lots each year,

no new builds allowed

no net inflow

but tighter market each year

win win win

go in through the drywall from inside if possible

make a big hole and then replaster the drywall after

you can also β€œfish” wires from the basement (assuming your panel is in the basement) if you want to make a smaller hole
