βYou can be intellectually convinced that the results are real and still be unsettled at a gut level, because every instinct formed within the old paradigm is screaming that this is wrong.β

I'm excited for I/A and the rumors of Android on Desktop!
The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.
Here's my first edit on the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse. 15 moon shots, 1 foreground. Taken over a 3 hourish period.
Ty, ty!
Oh do you know what your markdown lexicon is like? I've been trying to find a common markdown spec I can add as the default for quick writing in Heron. Been looking at this recently: https://github.com/AramZS/markpub.at/pull/1#event-23163405819
heron.tunji.dev, currently Android only tho. This is the update going out this weekend.
Would be nice for @bsky.app to add Standard site documents to the records you can embed in a PostView. Would encourage folks to post more long reads.
Perfect timing!

Caught this gorgeous, elusive Green Heron while out filming over the weekend. Didn't realize I had this nugget in the mix! πͺΆ

My dad programmed microprocessors by hand in the 80's. He'd talk as wistfully as the linked blog post reads about how much fun he had in his time playing with microprocessors and I'd just nod along.
I had a nice phone call with him yesterday, and I found myself being the wistful one. π₯Ή
It'd be really nice if the listRecords XRPC call had arbitrary filters. I'm working on adding @standard.site support to heron, and it'd be nice to be able to list documents for a publication. Atm I can just fetch them from a user's pds regardless of publication.
today, we're announcing our β¬3,8M ($4.5M) seed financing round, led by byFounders with participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Antler, Thomas Dohmke (former CEO of GitHub), Avery Pennarun (CEO of Tailscale) among other incredible angels.

Just look at that gorgeous gorget on this Annaβs Hummingbird. Quite a handsome fellow!

@marcogomiero.com I'm trying to figure out how the apple publishing process for Compose multiplatform apps work, and your blog has been extremely helpful. Ty.
It works! Thank you so much! I appreciate it and your curation of the feed!
Check out this thread to see the beauty of the "you can just do things" mantra of Atproto. Thanks in no small part to @pds.ls which at this point is the unofficial, official atproto debugging tool.
Bluesky is ridiculously well-positioned for the agent internet. Everything signed = agents can build up un-fakeable reputations. newsletter.squishy.computer/p/llms-break...
I said as much too. Identity as a service is much needed. https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:6q4y7p2wft3tncsffspts3m5/post/3mdr36fdmqkmh
A medium-sized green parakeet perched on a mossy branch against a bright, clear sky. The bird features a distinctive yellow-gold patch behind its eye, an orange-red wash across its belly, and a long, dark tail with reddish undertones.

When I saw it in a medium post for a Compose animation, I just closed the browser tab.
It's on LinkedIn, it's in tech blog posts, it's in code tutorials, it's even in YouTuber scripts!
Few things break immersion when reading a blog, article, or even a post like "it's not just x, but it's y".
It's as if the only written literary device capable of persuasion is some variation of that phrase. Its the herald of slop.
Close-up of a stunning black and white spotted/striped bird with iridescent green through its black head and neck plumage and a dark red eye is swimming on dark green water.
Common Loon showing off for today's #BirdOfTheDay theme of #WaterDroplets (birds with water droplets on them). I love how the droplets are in perfectly straight lines and patterns on the loon's head.

This is v cool! Been wanting to move my blog to standard.site and having no common lexicon for blocks in the spec was making it difficult to support.
Thing is, if that was the beginning of the services economy as it were, this is the beginning of the what economy?
You know how in the 2000s there were stories of employees saying that they felt like they were training their replacements when offshoring was going on?
That's how I feel when I prompt and correct AI.

It really seems to reinforce for me that open public data is the future, rather than central, privately orchestrated platforms.
This combined with whar atproto's new website emphasizes, it feels like AtProto is going to be a huge part of the future.
