Remember computer books that were 1000+ pages long? I'm reading this book now and I'm feeling so F@$#ING POWERFUL! GRAAAGHHHH!!!!

Could've sworn you said the same thing yesterday.
Well, I had the video saved to my "Watch Later" list, but now I'll definitely move it to my "Watch Sooner" list.
straight to jail
Just realized that I committed the sin of not adding alt text to this image. I offer my humble apology. (If I could edit the post, I would add the following alt text: A photo showing 2 pages showcasing the IBM 5150 computer in the book Digital Retro by Gordon Laing.)
Casually browsing through the book Digital Retro by Gordon Laing. A wonderful coffee table book showcasing some popular computers from the late 70s through 80s. I like it a lot even though it glosses over the Coco for some reason!

Where's the last place you usually look? It's probably there.
Dear you... You're a lovely person. I hope you had a very nice day.

Would you be comfortable to share what, if anything, this new information will change for you?
Look at all those Christmas cards
Seems to me that it's mostly just the power users and nerds who struggle with Linux troubleshooting issues nowadays. Most regular users are satisfied to boot up, then load their web browser and go. They have little need to troubleshoot other more complicated issues.
GenX Canadians remember these, too.
It sure would be nice if scans of these showed up on archive dot org. Just sayin'... ๐
Sending good wishes and positive thoughts from Canada. Take care.
I love seeing young people discover 25 year-old tech can actually do things. We literally bought iMacs to edit video and yet young people are somehow amazed that they can edit video. It is entertaining.
I dare you to put one of those on your car. 12 stickers left afterwards = 12 more dares?
All doctors are simply "doc" to me.
A special place. Where else can you order PB&J sandwich with a side of Kung Pao chicken?
For me, this meant that The Charlie Brown special is about to start.
I wonder if any phones have mistakenly left their umbrella on the bus.
a beige CRT is showing Borland C++ 3.1 running in msdos with its classic blue and gray user interface. Some C code is showing on screen.
Not a single human being asked for it, but I coded a small C program in msdos Borland C++ 3.1 to take in MIDI signals and reroute it to the PC speaker. Some sort of polyphony is next on the docket!

Love it. Would Tandy/PCjr 3-voice be possible?
It's not for everyone, surely.. but the combination of ultimate 64 board + new case + new mechanical keyboard with c64 keycaps surely makes it compelling to others. Especially considering how much more it would cost to buy those things seperately.
I would like it if you liked how I liked your post. Like, you know? For sure, like.
Thank you for the reminder. It provides the sort of therapeutic effect I need right now.
Have a great Canada day, y'all!
These are challenging times. Hope you're ok.
