This took some time, but I managed to make a list of my Top 50 favorite games, and it is ordered (though the ordering can vary slightly here and there depending on how I feel on a given day).

finished in stars and time and cried my eyes out multiple times + had multiple existential crises. what a peak game 10/10 would erase my memory just to play it again

Again, I'm not normally one to publicly complain about videogames online. But I love Rivals and what it stands for in the platform fighter genre, and Floorhugging is just such an incredibly painful sticking point that I really feel shouldn't be present in the game by any measure.
And I know a lot of people, in and out of Smash, who just... don't want to touch the game because the neutral and advantage states the way it is right now feels broken and unsatisfying to interact with. It doesn't matter that there's 'counterplay' to Flug; it just doesn't feel good.
I'm likely not going to quit playing Rivals any time in the near future; the game is enjoyable in spite of all this. But. I've certainly cut my fair share of play sessions short specifically because of Flug being far too disruptive to how I want the flow of the game to be.
It really doesn't make sense that Flug can be used while: inactionable from whiffing a move, in grounded hitstun, in parry stun???, and (as a Maypul main) wrapped up by Lily/vines. The impact this has on the game makes it feel so much worse to play.
This isn't like CC, where you have to deliberately forgo performing other actions to take a hit and get a chance to counter-attack the opponent. CC is a conscious decision you have to make, is fine as-is, and doesn't need to change (that much).
On top of that, Flug is performed while you're inactionable (and grounded), so there's no reason not to just hold Down in situations where you can't do anything else anyway. Whiffed a move? Hold Down. Getting comboed, but a single atom of your body touched the ground? Hold Down!
The problem is that, in a lot of situations where a player has made a mistake, the aggressor has to keep many factors in mind while doing their punish, but the defender only needs to push their stick into a direction to instantly complicate their opponent's advantage state.
Grabs and spikes work as normal against it, strongs can break Flug, and you can't Flug while you're in grab recovery. There are situations where Flug is no good and I'm doing my best working that into my gameplay like everyone else.
I don't like being a doomer for the games I play, but I do want to throw one onto the pile and express my dissatisfaction with how Floorhugging (Flug) is currently implemented in #RivalsofAether2 #RoA2.
To preface, YES, I do understand there are ways to play around Flug. (1/?)
hi new followers!
im a gamedev i make games that make people feel things
the biggest one is In Stars and Time, a timeloop rpg (and if you're following me from the ace gamedev pack, it has two ace characters π€π€π)

I'm not sure if it's weird to put up eBay listings or not, but here: www.ebay.com/itm/37657837...
I've been wanting to offload my physical collection for digital for a while, so yeah!
And as a bonus, I'll even throw in some JOHN NUMBERS WORLD CHAMP TRADING CARDS for whoever gets it.
So the topic of 'Top FIFTY Favorite Pokemon' came up one day.
I do want to mention, I do appreciate that the Rivals dev team is willing to nerf strong characters/polarizing strategies as much as they have been. After seeing what buff culture did to games like Smash Ultimate and FighterZ, I'm kind of 100% here for this approach.

That said I was definitely expecting Slade yesterday, but Absa's cool too.
My expectation was for Absa to be teased again in this trailer, and then fake-teased during the final reveal, only for her to turn around and say "No, I'm joining the fight too;" turning it into a double reveal. Would've been a pretty cool way to cap off the reveals.
And hereβs some news coverage on it: bigtakeover.com/news/album-p...
My pops recently finished and released his album he spent a good amount of time working on. Itβs called Troubled Mind and itβs centered largely on jazz and the blues.
Hereβs the Bandcamp link: diverecords.bandcamp.com/album/troubl...
Give it a listen! Maybe youβll even enjoy it.
Damn, sorry to hear that. I do hope everything works out for you in the future.
If you live in the same state as your friends, that's usually no problem, but I was kind of hoping to do some sharing with the chums on my plan who don't live anywhere near me, and that's just not possible.
Agreed, though it is a shame that the other feature - the Virtual Game Card sharing - appears to be massively gimped. Even with NSO Family Members who are on the same plan as you, you simply cannot share, unless you do Local Wireless (and you still need Internet while doing it for it to function!).
Another quite cool sequence π

Here's a fine sequence that I thought had some pretty cool movement and callouts to it.

Is there a planet near us right now? Because Iβve been noticing a larger-than-usual star in the night sky the past couple of weeks.
For those who don't play Rivals, when Kragg is holding a rock, he can't be put into tumble, giving you access to the fakest crap imaginable.
(Plus 1 cool sequence I hit later on that day.)

Here's that "Joy of Movement" I was talking about earlier. #RivalsofAether2 #RoA2
After simply being able to enjoy the freedom of movement Maypul provides, getting double dunks is definitely my second-favorite thing about this character.
#RivalsofAether2 #RoA2
The clip itself isn't too crazy, but I think this is the first time I've ever successfully used Maypul's DownB to turn a fast fall Uair, into the fastest fall Uair
