Yeah I’ve contacted some commissions that could potentially help but I don’t feel like I have a solid enough case to gamble paying €27.50 court costs on it😅

I’ve now had contact with the Dutch Klachtenloket Openbaar Vervoer who redirected me to go to the Geschillencommissie Openbaar Vervoer (and pay €27.50 which I can get back if it is ruled in my favour)…
Railway passenger rights can always be a bit of a pain to understand. But do i miss any valid reason here, why NS (International) refuse being rebooked onto a Eurostar to Brussels to still be there on time? Would be interesting to hear your opinions, as i am genuinely confused... 🤔
> 2. Where, for the purposes of points (b) and (c) of paragraph 1, comparable re-routing is operated by the same railway undertaking or another undertaking is commissioned to perform the re-routing, this shall not generate additional costs to the passenger. This requirement also applies where the re-routing involves the use of transport of a higher service class and alternative modes of transport. *Railway undertakings shall make reasonable efforts to avoid additional connections and to ensure that delay in the total travel time is as short as possible.* Passengers shall not be downgraded to transport facilities of a lower class unless such facilities are the only re-routing means available. > * 3. Without prejudice to paragraph 2, the railway undertaking may allow the passenger, at his or her request, to conclude contracts with other providers of transport services which enable the passenger to reach the final destination under comparable conditions, in which case the railway undertaking shall reimburse the passenger for the costs that he or she incurs.*
The app showed this! There was a bit of me going back to eu rail passenger rights directive and them saying no
> Jouw huidige ticket kunnen we kosteloos annuleren. De meerkosten voor de Eurostar worden helaas niet vergoed.
They did, but this will make me miss my charter train from Brussel
Yeah that’s what I presumed, but they are only willing to give me a full refund of my original ticket which means I am out €30 to get to a place I need to be at a specific time
Train ticket from Zwolle to Bruxelles-Midi
@seatsixtyone.bsky.social here is the single PDF showing the one way (it is two pages, one for the outbound, one for the return)
My Zwolle-Brussel ticket right now is a single through ticket!
cc @jonworth.eu @seatsixtyone.bsky.social maybe?
Eurostar is a different operator they don’t need to rebook me onto that and can only offer me the next available connection arriving at 1003.
Any rail passenger rights experts that know if I am right in my assumption of article 18 paragraph 1-3 that they would have to rebook me on the first option?
That would still get me to my destination on time. Does NS want to rebook me into that? No. I can pay €54 (I paid €21.40 for the ECD connection) or I can arrive over an hour later in Brussel. Where is my right to reroute as according to the EU rail passenger rights regulation? NS claims that as
Amazing no words. I booked the below itinerary to get me to Brussels before the charter train leaves Brussels zuid at 09:28. Unfortunately my connection has ceased to exist, as it requires a 3 minute connection in Amsterdam which is shorter than the minimum connection time there. There is an Eurostar
I did enjoy a lovely 5 weeks of being sent from Caledonian sleeper to scotrail on if a sleeper supplement only is a full ticket (and thus my claim would be delay repay) or if it was an abandoned journey through no fault of my own (and thus would be a refund by CS instead of 100%compensation from SR)
yeahh, it's a shame my local ticket office (NS International) charges a €7.50 fuck you fee :( )
They didn't on tuesday! It was the cheapest option until today. NMBS charges an €4 booking fee per order, which is more than Interrail (or raileurope!) if booking just a single.
@seatsixtyone.bsky.social Hi! I just noticed that as of today it seems, Raileurope is charging a €2 reservation fee for interrail reservations. I am currently updating interrailwiki.eu to stop recommending them as the cheapest option, but maybe seat61.com also warrants an update :)
It does for me on iOS at least
It should automatically disable apple wallet! For android you still need to disable nfc I think
This only works if they are set to accept any Aztec/qr without any checks at all :( lounge has been working consistently for 2 years now!
What if you use the Linux server for that tho
Enjoy getting delayed🙃
Idk I do think this depends on what you study, engineering type is like Dutch uni here, while teacher English was very very queer lmao
That makes sense, at least there’s that new eu law(? Proposal?) now saying to add bike spaces so that’s something
E320’s have 15kV don’t they?
I just checked and they don’t, but adding 15kV to a 25kV capable train (to my non technological brain) doesn’t seem that hard?
And the 3M’s can be re rebuilt to get TVM again for that super reliable train🤣
Oooh I forgot that was a thing, the seat numbers, thanks!
i know, but i wanted seat selection and the rest of the plan got changed so much that it doesn't make sense haha
the latter, i had a separate seat reservation for the ICE from brussel that i already got refunded from ÖBB
My booked reservation train, IC 461 on friday 13 June
Proof of delay from NMBS showing my cancelled ICE to Frankfurt
My alternative ICE after an Eurostar to Köln that was over an hour late and thus causing me to miss my train in Stuttgart
@bahn.de Hi! I made a seat reservation for Stuttgart Hbf to Wien Hbf on the following trains, but due to delay and cancellation of my previous ICE's I was unable to get to Stuttgart in time for my ICE, can i get the €6.50 back? I don't see any way to get it back via db navigator or the website.
Basically with how much I travel in them🙃
Hey that’s me
