They're pretty Christian-centric
So you can't use real human bones in movies. Ethics issues galore. BUT! What if you could leave in your will or w/e that you consent to your remains being used on a set?
I propose... THE BONE BANK! Bones for movies!

HAPPY FLYTRAP TUESDAY!! This week, @sesmith.lol writes about the "algorithmic violence" navigated by sex workers across platforms, how it robs SW of their time, creativity, and (most importantly) their money.

Who could have seen this coming 🙃
Just a reminder that for some reason no one talks about Christians United For Israel, which is 10x the size of AIPAC
Good.
Now sanction us.
Why aren't you all barring Trump and his cabinet and key supporters from entering the EU, freezing any assets they hold in your countries, and so forth?
It's psst time for measures with teeth
I know this point has been made ad nauseum but it’s really galling to have grown up with the toxic “women and their Daddy Issues” trope only to realize hey wait it’s actually men with all the Daddy Issues 😑

1 Inquiry for New York Times Good afternoon, My name is [REDACTED] and l am a reporter for the New York Times. I am researching how much money the Palestinian diaspora community has sent to support Gazan families since the war in Gaza began. Does your team track this figure? I really appreciate it. With gratitude, [REDACTED]
Palestine Diaspora Movement Hello [REDACTED] We do not collaborate with The New York Times. Your email asks about money sent to Gazan families "since the war in Gaza began." Let us first correct the premise. This is not a war. It is a genocide. Calling it a war is part of the problem. It obscures the reality of a colonized people being massacred by a military machine backed by the United States and defended, sanitized, and rhetorically softened by institutions like yours. The New York Times has spent far too long parroting Zionist propaganda and laundering Israeli state narratives while Palestinians bury their dead. That kind of coverage does not merely misinform. It helps create the political climate in which Palestinian slaughter becomes explainable, defensible, and forgettable. So no, we will not be sharing any figures, internal data, or community information with a paper that has so thoroughly damaged its credibility on Palestine. Quite frankly, we would rather chew jeans than help The New York Times extract from our community while continuing to fail it. Do not contact us again for this purpose, The Palestine Diaspora Movement Team

Eh, most would not consider him "the" Antichrist. Maybe an antichrist, but the old anti-Catholic sentiment has moderated quite a bit. Ever since Bill Clinton, the most commonly floated candidates for "the" Antichrist have been Democratic presidents
Also, they would be really really happy if you dunked on Jews - because they don't get to the good part until every nation in the world turns on Israel.
Note: CLEARLY Bibi and his ilk are bad people, we all know that, but the goal is to get you to hate every single Jew. Don't fall for it.
What if we threw Jesus a party for 2000 years and he never showed? Just holy ghosted us?

Jesus is Republicans' daddy who left "to get a pack of smokes" and never came back.
And now by-golly-by-gosh-by-gum they are going to win his approval and MAKE him come back by blowing up the Middle East
Yaaaay
Thanks for this. To be clear, I do believe Christianity can be done right. Different groups and individuals choose what to focus on for their interpretations.
Ideally, though, progressive Christians should be honest and explicitly face and reject certain things rather than deny their presence

At least one commander not only believes it's real, but told their unit this is a holy war to bring Jesus back

I don't agree. Jesus makes plenty of authoritarian and creepy apocalyptic statements in e.g. Matthew

Grew up Evangelical, can attest that there was very much a vibe of "we need the Jews back there so the end of the world can happen."
People at my church were usually too polite to say what they expected to happen to the Jews at that point out loud but...we all understood...

In Defense of Effeminate Boys If anyone had suggested that I might really be a girl, I don’t know how I would have responded. By Ben Appel
If medical authorities have a rigorous way of distinguishing effeminate boys from transgender kids—or of distinguishing transgender kids from proto-gay kids—they aren’t saying. I have met a number of detransitioned gay men who tried to live as women for a time because they and their families were so averse to homosexuality. According to a 2019 report in The Times of London, staffers at Britain’s foremost gender-identity clinic joked darkly that, as a result of the facility’s work, “there would be no gay people left.” A statement last month by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons noted that there is no validated way to assess whether a child’s gender distress will persist over time or disappear without medical intervention. A lack of good research and recordkeeping means that we may never know how many patients who would have been considered effeminate gay boys not so long ago have undergone medical treatments for gender dysphoria.
Absolute trash. The author did not speak to a single medical professional and the article does not contain a shred of evidence that effeminate gay boys are being bamboozled into thinking they're trans.

What do you think? Does #FreeTheNipple still matter when our bodies and speech are being censored by Tech Bros?
In November, @thebugbeardispatch.bsky.social wrote: "One can never be sure what will trigger Meta’s automatic censorship, or whether one will be able to restore one’s Facebook or Instagram account if it’s unfairly banned."
