Still cranking away on the old battleship.
@vertexnormal
I make big stompy mechs in my free time to compensate for living on a mountain and not having a social life. I did a 15 year stint at Maxis as lead artist on SimCity and TheSims, now I work on actual robots - self driving cars.
Still cranking away on the old battleship.
1459 days to go!
Cry haaavoc!
This isn't the kit you put together as a kid though, it has resin parts, photo etched brass parts and turned brass. Aftermarket detail kits can add a few hundred more.
1/350 is $350, 1/200 is ~$5-600. 1/200 for an Iowa class battleship is like 5ft long though.
note that the only thing on here modeled/textured to the final quality are the 5in DP guns pointing straight out to the sides.
Trying to decide if I want to spend a couple hundred bucks on a model kit to use as reference or just scrap the whole project. Battleships are reaaaaly complicated apparently.
Nobody asked for Jupiter Ascending but here we are..
Only took them 23 years! Hot Date was my first shipped title.
Trying to decide if I'm willing to dedicate the patience and love I would need to complete such a project.
I did this more than a decade ago, maybe it's time to take another crack at The Big D.
My lizard brain sees this and goes "RARRR".. my physics brain sees this and goes "HUH?? WTF?".
I can belittle your intelligence, question your breeding, or just generally be an a-hole to you if it helps you to feel more at home.
He's got leggggs.. and he knows how to smoosh you.
When I was designing futuristic vehicles for SimCity I would have never made something as stupid looking as a Cybertruck, I would have probably been fired.

Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts?
Hello.. is there anybody in there? Is there anyone at all?
