Are we talking past each other? lol

In favor of the republicans. You need 4 to swing it the other way, and there were 4.
2 republicans voted for it, so 4 democrats were needed
Deeply embarrassing for the US.
I don't want to quote Kissinger, but you kind of have to when the US ends up selling out all of its allies.
It's amazing how so many people would straight up deny this when you tell it to them. But it's always been true.
"NATO is a platform for the United States to project power on the world stage," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte tells the American right-wing news channel Newsmax.
He just said the quiet part out loud.
Left can't resist being on wrong side of a war Whether it's Jeremy Corbyn or Zack Polanski, their foreign policy stances terrify voters outside core supporters
Well, hereβs the thing about being antiwar as an ethical belief: it means you end up opposing most wars. Almost all of them, in fact. This is quite common in people who have consistent beliefs but looks insane to people who have none, or mostly just believe superior people should make the decisions.
We need a metric for how many times articles are posted about CCUs.
Yes, the majority of blame lies with Republicans and they are warmongers. The Democrats are at the very least meant to be sane.
This is why people get frustrated with the Democratic party, and by extension the US political project.
If no Democrats had joined the Republicans on this vote, it would have passed. But 4 did join them.
As Ken said, there's always just enough votes every time.
House of Representatives blocks war powers resolution 212-219.
Funny how they always have just enough votes to stop these things!
The Justice Department has posted online three FBI interviews related to sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump that had been missing from the massive trove of Epstein files released by the Department of Justice.
SMH headline: Australia faces the threat of war with China within three years β and weβre not ready Are we prepared for full-scale conflict? Our panel of national security experts says no. March 7, 2023 | Peter Hartcher and Matthew Knott
Happy final day before Australia's full-blown war with China kicks off day to those who celebrate
Asia is much more dependent on Middle Eastern LNG (Gas) than Europe is. Iβd love to know what the geopolitical considerations in India, China, and Korea are at the moment. Their growth potential is severely limited due to the war in Iran, right?
This is what "no stupid rules of engagement" looks like in practice. A New York Times investigation indicates that it was a US strike on an Iranian school that killed 175 people, mostly children. Hegseth has yet to accept US responsibility for this grave war crime.

Conspiracy theories are crazy, all because men want to feel something when they play a game like this lol
Sale of physical gift boxes at certain stores.
China has strict regulations against adult content and this often leads to games being taken down to make character costume changes or remove offending content.
It's no secret that many games employ the use of sexualized content to attract players, but regulations are sometimes applied unevenly.
The controversy stemmed from concerns about the appropriateness of public institution like China Post partnering with a game known for controversial character designs that have been called sexist.
This week, the game was suspended indefinitely for maintenance with no return date listed.
Snowbreak: Containment Zone, the shooter known for its 18+ female character designs that lean heavily into "fan service", and is developed by Chinese studio Seasun, has been suspended indefinitely in China after a collaboration event with China Post went mainstream and received backlash online.
This illegal war started out being 4 weeks long.
Within days it was expanded to 8 weeks.
Now it's likely to last through September.
The US did not prepare for a boots on the ground war, and it would take (logistically speaking) months to get to that stage. Hopefully that does not happen.
Asha Sharmaβs first major move as Xbox boss is to announce their next console, which will operate as a living-room PC as expected, on X:
Like I genuinely cannot stress the disconnect between US posturing towards China, which is always aggressive in nature, and China's response that is based on the reality of global relations today.
People really need to understand that China values two things more than anything else. Stability and trade.
Even now, after the US has committed an illegal war, which it vocally opposes, they're releasing statements to the US that are like "please stop this and trade with us dawg, we love to trade"
At a certain point, Americans have to genuinely ask themselves why their ruling class tells them that China is the greatest threat to world peace when it's their own country that clearly is.
There are think pieces questioning why China hasn't entered the war / started one and it's laughable.
There's always exceptions of course, but this was generally around the time they stopped caring (Most of the exceptions being ex communist countries)
Israel is now at a similar point in the timeline to apartheid South Africa. The 1980s saw the apartheid state invade or attack at least six of its neighboring countries, something it couldn't maintain.
The US then broke with the country and imposed sanctions, leading to the end of apartheid.
I'm not saying this is the biggest problem why people won't leave. I'm saying that Bluesky is missing that aspect.
